About LWG (Leather Working Group) certified leather
It is an auditing organization headquartered in the UK and is made up of three companies: a leather brand, a tanner, and a chemical manufacturer. Products that have been certified by this organization, that is, products that have been created with the aim of protecting the global environment for both consumers and producers, are called "LWG Leather."
1. "Environmental Consideration" - Checking whether wastewater discharged during leather production is properly treated and whether the facility environment within the factory is kept clean. 2. "Safety of Chemicals Used" - Regarding chemicals used in the leather manufacturing process, prohibited substances that may have an effect on the human body must not be used. 3. "Working Environment" - Among the leather manufacturing factories around the world, there are some that use child labor and destroy the environment in order to make profits for themselves.
SUSTAINABILITY
We are increasing the use of leather that meets environmental and social compliance standards in order to realize a sustainable world. There are many types of leather that are by-products of livestock farming. By using LWG Leather, we are taking care of the environment.
